Painted at Bill's Farm Market on location with a shadow framing the upper left of the painting highlighting the garden and light in the field beyond. This will be used as a study for a much larger painting as well.

"A Sheep Dining 'On' a Hay Bale"

I spotted this hay bale by a barn today at one of the Eppler's Farms.    Painted with a certain sense of humor... After talking to one of the Eppler's grandchildren while painting, it turns out that the larger sheep push the smaller sheep out of the way to feed. The smaller sheep then climb through a small gate and eat on top of the bale.
